Orzechowo is a bigger village in Wielkopolska voivodeship (province). It is situated on the right board of Warta river. In our village there are 2 factories (named Orzechowskie Zaklady Przemyslu Sklejek, Tarkett) in which majority of inhabitants from our neibourhood is employed. There is as well a recreation center named 'Relax' and it has a summer opened swimming pool which belongs to the factories.

The education offer (periodically organisation of activities/ workshops with the participation of the parents within Veronica Sherborne's method, games of KLANZA, playing in English and the language of a volunteer) makes perfect conditions which provoke creativity, teaching responsability and school maturity. Enrichement of the project of the pupils' adaptation to the preschool institutions education. Volunteers' task may also be the cooperation and exchange of experience with the education insitutions from the volunteers' coutries.

As well as we do in the case of our children in work of our volunteer we wish to use the methods which support the activity and learning our language. (independent experience, various games, tasks to do, observation and exhibition.
A volunteer in the 'Bajkowy Œwiat' kindergarten in Orzechowo will work 5 days a week for 5-6 hours each day during the operating hours (8.00 A.M. - 3.00 P.M.) in chosen units according to the schedule or a current need.

We propose the following tasks and duties to the volunteer:
- taking care of childrien in cooperation/ assistance of the teacher
- participation in the parties, festivals, celebrations organised by the kindergarten
- helping in the preparation of the decoration for celebrations
- helping in the preparation season wish cards, invitations, gifts for the guests invited to our kindergarten
- helping in the preparation of the children's art works with the teachers for Christmas and Easter fair
- helping in the preparation of children's costumes for kindergarten's celebrations
- making simple didactic aids under the assistance of a teacher
- making class wall exibitions for particular groups on the theme previously discused with a teacher
- helping in the decoration of children's rooms in the kindergarten

The host organisation is fully opened to the individual projects and ideas of a volunteer. We hope that the expertise (experience, competence) gained during the voluntary work will help the volunteer personal and professional development. And that they will be useful in his/her future education and work qualifications.

A future volunteer is expected to interest in work with children, have the personality that faciliates work with small children and finally to be responsible. Abilities in making art works, playing an instrument (a flute, piano, guitar...) choreography knowledge are welcomed.

We are able to host 2 volunteers at the same time.

A volunteer during the project will have the tutor's care assured. The tutor, as well the project coordinator, will be to help the volunteer in any emergencies. In any such case the volunteer may solve his/her problems with the help of the tutor, but if that is not enough the project coordinator is to aid. Of course during the first days of the project the volunteer will be told all the rules of health & safety work in his/her host organisation and will learn the rules that regulate the work of the 'Bajkowy Œwiat' kindergarten.
