Proposed activities for EVS volunteers:
Please explain:
" what you can offer to volunteers in terms of Service and learning opportunities,
" what will be the role of EVS volunteers in the Host Organisation,
" the activities in which the volunteers could be involved and the
activities the volunteers could create in your organisation. Please
give examples of typical activities for the volunteers.
Volunteers, who will take part in the project of our trust, will
generally give service in social responsibility projects. They will
provide volunteer services such as playing games with destitute
children based on well-known educational techniques, preparing and
presenting little gifts that will make older and ill people, sharing a
short segment of time with them, taking part as responsibles in
organizations where youth participate intensively. At the same time, it
will be provided that they learn the language of our country by
receiving language courses at certain times of the day as well as givin
opportunity for teaching their own language to us. However, ease of
learning will be provided them for knowing our country and culture at
vacation times out of the service hours. For example, city
transportation will be made easier for this purpose. Contracted places
will be arranged where they can eat, a list will be prepared about
principal important places where he/she have to visit and see, national
nights will be conducted in order that they can present their countries
and opportunity will be provided them for expressing their own culture.
Any volunteer will be commissioned for providing support service in our
foundation. He/she will sidplay that the projects we formed are
international, not only national, harmonious studies could be performed
together with different cultures, and new countries, new cultures and
friendships can be established by means of these studies. In brief,
while a volunteer is included in our projects as a representative of
our culture, he/she will also be the reflection of our culture in
his/her country.
It will be provided that volunteers will be informed and make commands
about this plan by sending an activity program before coming to the
project. Then, a program meeting common views will be formed within the
frame of their requests and activity requirements. For example, the
plan for a day will be as follows for a volunteer attending to any
project we conducted locally. One day is planned to be arranged as to
be volunteer service in four-hours segment, language education in
1-hour segment, meal times at morning, noon and evening, ice break
activities and times for introducing the environment and culture.
We have a three term for volunteers;
Adaptation term (Check-in )
The experiences which gained from the previous voluntary actions of the
members of our foundation revealed that the below mentioned articles
called as check-in is very important from the point of the project
itself, host organization and the volunteer. It was decided that a
person who actively works in the management staff and project team of
the foundation is to be assigned as an advisor (mentor) for each
volunteer. This person will be responsible to follow up and evaluate
the volunteer's daily activities, to report the problems encountered by
the volunteer and to have them put in the agenda of the weekly
evaluation meetings and to follow up the volunteer's health problems.

Volunteer profiles and recruitment process:
Please describe the profiles of volunteers you would like to receive in
your organisation. Include information on how you ensure an open and
transparent recruitment process as well as the overall accessibility of
EVS to all young people. Consider further information about the type of
Sending Organisation you want to cooperate with. This information can
help the match-making between volunteer candidates, Sending
Organisations and your organisation.
Because volunteers included in the projects that our trust will conduct
would participate in studies on the fields of education and health,
they need to make collective studies with people from all age groups.
Therefore, being a volunteer in our studies will be extremely joyous
and successful process for patient and sincere participants. Besides,
if we also consider the cultural and historical richness of our
country, it will have a character of educational activity for people
with desire of investigation and learning at the same time. In our
projects, for which young people between 18-30 years of age can apply
as volunteers, the main principle is to provide that volunteer concept
is learnt thoroughly both by volunteer and locally living youth.
Volunteer candidates, who can express themselves, can show
self-sacrifice and open for teaching and learning in environments where
cultural exchange and information sharing can be made efficiently, can
work as a volunteer in the projects of our organization.
