ADVIT Moldova is looking for one EVS volunteer
The volunteer will work hand in hand with the ADVIT staff in a variety of activities related to the above mentioned tasks of the ADVIT office.
ADVIT Moldova is a non-political, non-profit, non-governmental
organization, started by and for young people, to involve Moldovan
young people, with and without professional experience, into programmes
at national and international levels in the fields of education,
culture, ecology, historical heritage protection and helping
disadvantaged people, by contributing to the development of a more
peaceful society, to the decrease of social injustice.
We are sending and hosting organization of the international
volunteers in Moldova and at the moment are hosting 25 young
international volunteers. ADVIT is also responsible for the
organization of the volunteer meetings (pre-departure, on-arrival, mid
term, final evaluation) in Moldova, reporting to the SALTO EECA.
This implies the following service and learning opportunities
for the volunteer:
- The volunteer will be trained and will work on programmatic and
administrative issues linked to international youth exchange and
voluntary service programmes such as: public relations, quality
assurance, project management, financial management, networking and
partnership building, etc
-The volunteer from time to time also will be directly involved in
the preparation and implementation of international and European
meetings as co-facilitator (i.e. seminars or training courses) This
will enable him/her to get a hands-on experience in the running of
international youth activities.
The ADVIT staff consists of two permanent full-time employees. The
EVS volunteer will be working in the position of an office assistant.
The volunteer will support and assist the staff in the following activities
- answering information inquiries by phone and e-mail;
- public relations, correspondence, compiling data, editing of reports etc.
- planning, preparation and carrying out of international seminars and training courses;
- internet research on youth and voluntary service issues;
- updating ADVIT Homepage, gathering articles and edition of a newsletter;
- assistance in the development of posters and information sheets. Here the creative support of the volunteers is asked;
- supporting organization of the thematic meetings for volunteers coordinated by ADVIT;
- general office tasks (Filing and archiving, data entry and database maintenance)
- any other ad-hoc tasks as determined by the staff
The volunteer should be creative and motivated to work in a dynamic
international atmosphere. S/he should also be diligent and reliable and
willing to learn local language. A good command of English as well as
PC literacy (Word, Excel) are assets.
