Volunteer will work in Warsaw in daily room which belongs to association in coordination with the employees from association. Support and help for the volunteer will be available all the time. The staff has to offer experience in working in youth and knowledge of psychology and pedagogy. Volunteer will take part in outdoor activities (sport classes, games, competitions and tourist trips) organised by association for children and youth as well as in indoor activities such as artistic and technical workshops for young people. Volunteer will participate in trips and camps organised by association (3 days - 12 days) and he will take part in outdoor activities during camps as swimming, walking, skiing.

Tasks
Volunteer will work in Warsaw in daily room which belongs to
association in coordination with the employees from association.
Support and help for the volunteer will be available all the time. The
staff has to offer experience in working in youth and knowledge of
psychology and pedagogy.
Volunteer will take part in outdoor activities (sport classes, games,
competitions and tourist trips) organised by association for children
and youth as well as in indoor activities such as artistic and
technical workshops for young people. Volunteer will participate in
trips and camps organised by association (3 days - 12 days) and he will
take part in outdoor activities during camps as swimming, walking,
skiing.
Association is open for new ideas in youth work. The volunteer will
have all the possibilities for his /her own project to be carried out
with support of association (language workshops, movie club etc.
depending on personal interest of volunteer)Volunteer with initiative
would be very welcome.
The volunteer will prepare simple meals for children, will play sport
with them, will help individually children to do their homework.
Association organise project "How to get to know Warsaw". Children and
teenagers who doesn't know history of their home city will prepare
information how to get to know better the city and history of its
citizens. First they will describe places worth seeing with and later
on they will visit all described places with the volunteer.
He/She will also look together with employees of association for new
ideas for activities of association in field of education and drug
prevention will look for donors to support association, will look for
interesting partner organisation for international cooperation.
The working hours of association are very flexible. All activities take
place between 10 am an 7 p.m The volunteer will work 7 hours per day 5
days a week.
Example of a daily timetable:
11a.m - 2p.m helping with association projects (visit to museum, sport, artistic classes)
2p.m - 4p.m lunch break
4p.m - 5p.m realization of volunteer own project
5p.m - 6p.m Polish language course
Presence of volunteer will be opportunity for children and youth to
know other culture, tradition and custom (for some of them it will be
first contact with the foreigner). We hope it will motivate them to
learn languages, learn more about Europe and its diversity, and make
Europe closer for those young people. We would like to involve in our
activities young people coming from foreign countries to exchange
experiences, work methodology and skills. For Association it is
opportunity to develop European dimension in daily youth work, to
cooperate with young motivated people from other countries.
target group
The volunteer should be social, open mined, optimistic person, interested in work with youth and social issues. The candidates have to be 18 - 25 year old. There are no special requirements with respect to gender.
