Project description
'Photogr8' is a creative project that aims to inspire and empower young people to use photography as a means for expressing their voice and making a positive impact in the society we live in. This project acts as a link between creative and inspiring media on the one hand, and youth empowerment and active social contribution on the other hand.

The project will take place in Macedonia, which is a country rich of cultural diversity, which would enhance the intercultural dimension of the project. The project would be implemented by Cre8ive8 Youth Media Production.

Proposed volunteer activities

- Participate in the Development of a Cre8ive8 Photo Art Branch  (50%)

- Initiate and take part in the organization of of creative Photography Workshops and Exhibitions (20%)

- Initiate a personal creative project (20%)

- Promote volunteerism (10%)

The volunteers will be given the opportunity:

• To increase self confidence,

• To develop teamwork skills by working with people from different backgrounds,

• To gain film-making skills directly from young professionals,

• To gain experince in the organisation of media production activities by working closely with the young media practicioners.

• To gain leadership skills by being given the chance to lead some activities.

• To learn foreign languages,

• To expand their horizonts and alter their undertanding by meeting people from different backgrounds, cultures and religions;

• To receive training in the field of youth work and develop skills for becoming youthwork trainiers as well,

• To put their training knowledge in practise and organise workshops in which they can reaffirm their skills.

• To unleash their creativity by working on many creative, and thought provoking projects,

• Take part in many seminars, discussions, exibitions

• To produce their own film for their EVS experince which could afterwards be used for promoting the EVS benefits and stimulating young people to take he opportunity of being an EVS volunteers.

The project implementers

Cre8ive8 Youth Media Production is a youth organisation that brings together young active high school & university students and provides them a chance to express their ideas and induce a positive impact through film & media. Today Cre8ive8 operates as an independent youth organisation that has its roots as a project initiated by British Council Macedonia in 2004.

The mission of Cre8ive8 is to inspire and empower young people and, thus encourage them to promote their voice and make a difference in their and other people's lives by using film and various multimedia forms. Every creation of Cre8ive8 sends out a message that provokes a positive view and challenges stereotypes and negative perceptions.  

The profile of the Cre8ive8 members is diverse, including more than 120 actively trained young people with different backgrounds and profiles. The activities of Cre8ive8 are taking place on local, regional & international level. When it comes to international work, we have been involved in a number of international projects in UK, Belgium, Albania, Bulgaria and many international projects in Macedonia which involved people from all Europe and further.
