Cooperativa Atlantide
Cooperativa Atlantide
Atlantide: it's an environnemental project which involves different kind of activities. The volunteer should have strong interest for natural sciences in order to take advantage of all learning opportunities. Some knowledge of Italian language are apprecieted.
Although Atlantide is involved in various activities during the year,
some of these, require more or less intense attention by the staff

Volunteer profiles and recruitment process:
Please describe the profiles of volunteers you would like to receive in
your organisation. Include information on how you ensure an open and
transparent recruitment process as well as the overall accessibility of
EVS to all young people. Consider further information about the type of
Sending Organisation you want to cooperate with. This information can
help the match-making between volunteer candidates, Sending
Organisations and your organisation.
The candidates applications will be collected by Uniser who will
present them to the appropriate person at Co-operativa Atlantide, who
then will select the candidate best suited to the role with reference
to the following criteria:
The ideal volunteer for Atlantide must have knowledge and competencies in the environmental field.
The potential volunteer must also be prepared to interact with the
public as the volunteer will often have to speak to groups of people
and so must not be timid or an introvert.
The volunteer must also be available to work as part of a team and be
flexible regarding his/her work hours and the activities he/she will
perform.
A basic knowledge of Italian will be appreciated, even if it is not an essential requirement when selecting the volunteer.
Atlantide is willing to collaborate with all serious sending
organisations provided that they will assist and accompany the
volunteer when selecting the project and that they guarantee to provide
adequate support from their country throughout the service period.
The volunteer will be monitored by the co-ordinator of the Cooperativa
Atlantide as for the correct implementation of the EVS activities and
the integration in the staff. The volunteer will not be allowed to
carry out tasks requiring high responsibility that may represent a risk
to himself/herself, the public and the other members of the staff.
Moreover, the volunteer will be able to count on the moral and
practical support of a mentor provided by the contact point Uniser
through regular meetings where motivation, expectations, personal added
value to the project, intercultural experience and difficulties that
may arise will be evaluated. The mentor will intervene whenever
problems, crisis and conflicts may occur.
The Cooperativa Atlantide does not foresee to host minors.
