The first step is; send your CV and Motivation letter(preferably attached with a photo) and a portfolio describing yourself (it is optional)

Accomodation and Food
The EVS volunteer will be accommodated in motel or a house in Çanakkale. The accommodation will be near the organization's office, on a walking distance of maximum 15-20 minutes. The volunteer will share bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom with other volunteers. All other practical issues will be solved directly with the volunteer.
We will give chance to volunteers try Turkish meal or prepare food by themselves. They will receive the pocket Money at the beginning of each week


Çanakkale is not a big city that you can easily reach any place on foot. In case the volunteer implements activities outside of the city, he/she will be provided with transportation.

Proposed activities for EVS volunteers:
Volunteers will take part in the activities of the local youth center in Çanakkale. Çanakkale Youth and Sport Club is one of the biggest local youth center in Çanakkale.
In most of the activities volunteers will have, training and national-international acitivities of local youth center at the Department of development. In this department we are organizing and preparing all the new activities for young people, especially activities with national and international dimensions.
Generally, the activities in which the volunteers will be involved are;
--preparation and coordinating national and international projects.
--preparation and coordinating of local and regional activities (training, youth camps, student exchanges)
--providing the communication trainings in foreign language
--preparing different and creative workshop (according the abilities and interests of the volunteers); music workshop, painting workshop, drama workshop and some other creative workshops
--creating the promotional materials for the activities of the center.
--participation in the trips for youngsters,students and in some case also with disabled peoples.
-decoration and re-design the building.

Volunteers will have possibility to learn a lot during the EVS. It is up to them how much they will get from the time spent in Çanakkale/TURKEY.
First of all, they will have possibility to learn Turkish language. They will have 3 hours of Turkish Language every week. Also they will have possibility to communicate in Turkish language. If they would like to get more from the Turkish lessons, we will provide them more lessons and practical communication.
They will have a chance to learn Turkish folkloric dance, marbling art and the art of tile-making, Turkish meal cooking etc.
Each week they will have different trips to the famous monuments and historical places of the city. Also, they will be able to travel a lot, so they will have the chance to know the city and country very well. If they would like to spend their free time by discovering the city or famous places of the country, we can help them to make a tour plan etc.
They will have other possibilities.If they want to participate in more activities, they can get the experience in: project management, coordination of international activities, communication, activities methodology, language courses methodology, research techniques etc in our international office.
They will gain experience to European awareness and help to Turkish youngsters providing to get that. (Some meetings about European social life and human rights, some workshops about the socio-cultural differences etc.)

Volunteer profiles and recruitment process:

We are ready to host open minded, creative, capable of working with team, self-reliant and responsible volunteers. Experience in work with children and youngsters will be an advantage. The most important criterion what we expect from cantidates is true motivation to do EVS and to spend time in small but nice Turkish town.

Volunters are choosen by tutor of the project (a person in charge from the coordinating organisation) and person in charge from hosting organization. After selecstion's deadline we inform all candidates via e-mail about our decision. The most important criterions are: having motivation to work in a proposed field of social work and being experience in voluntary work. We try to find youth whoes interests and skills will suits to proposed activity. There aren't any tasks where specific skills will be required.
