Elderly care project from Liechtenstein has one free place for an EVS volunteer
Basic german notions and some interest for working with old people are required for the volunteer.
Project environment:
Country: Liechtenstein - a constitutional monarchy with a democratic basis like the Parliament.
Head of State: Fürst Hans-Adam II. von und zu Liechtenstein, Herzog von Troppau und Jägerndorf, Graf von Rietberg. Since 1989.
Capital: Vaduz
Inhabitants: around 35'000 (End 2007)
Language: The official language is German. The colloquial language is closer to Swiss German.
Bank holiday: 15th of August
Currency: Swiss Franc but Euro is normally accepted

The volunteer will live in a flat with other volunteers and students.
She/he will have her/his own room and will share bathroom, kitchen and
social rooms. This flat is coordinated by Verein für Betreutes Wohnen
(VBW). The flat's address is Herrengasse 15, 9490 Vaduz. It's in the
centre.
Proposed activities for EVS volunteers:
The volunteer will have the opportunity to help in the following areas:
- care and service in the flats;
- help for the meals;
- decoration in the houses;
- leisure activities for and with the patients like excursions, creative activities, etc.;
- going for a walk, talking with the patients.
Volunteer profile and recruitment process:
The volunteer should be able to communicate in German and should be 18 at least.
We will request an application including a photo, CV and a letter of motivation.
Some experiences with old people can be an advantage.
We expect our volunteer to be independent, to have social skills and to be interested in working with old people.
We don't have neither any specific partner nor special expectations to the partner.
Tatoos which can be racist or satanic are not accepted. Piercings are accepted if they are discrete.
The House' rules and some discretion rules will be explained to the volunteer at the beginning of her/his stay.
