Objectives of the project:

•  İncreasing the interest and attention of youth and other people by volunteering;
  

•  Providing the participation of youth from different countries for solving one of general problems of the world.
  

•  Strengthening intercultural dialogue among youth.
  

Environment is very important for each country. Every country and population wants to have clear and healthy environment. In Azerbaijan state bodies and NGOs wish to realize different actions for this purpose. Namely, 2010 was announced as the “Ecological Year” in Azerbaijan. During the ecological year various organizations realize projects, activities, campaigns according to the aim of the year. The organization also support this type of actions. We thought that it could be effective work if youth from different countries join and act with us.
Ecological actions will be organized throughout the whole year, and volunteers will contribute to these projects with us. These actions consist of: preparation of actions, organizing various enlightenment activities, preparing new ecological projects, programmes, campaigns, fundraising for these actions and involving many students in the projects during the year.
These actions are realized by Ecological Working Group of the organization. The working group consists of 15 students. The working group is regulated by Secretary on Social Issues of the organization. Future EVS volunteers also will act in the same working group. The working group works at the organization’s office. Members of the working group have meetings at the office and prepare plans for future actions. EVS volunteers also will act at the same office. Namely, their work place will be organization’s office.

Volunteers will be from Programme Countries.

· the role and tasks of the volunteer(s)

- Organizing meetings of the working group in the office- volunteers must be in touch with other Azeri students, organize meetings every week, and inform other volunteers about discussed themes during the meetings;
- Defining the themes for future projects - volunteers must have discussions about future ecological actions, new ideas with the secretary on social issues, general secretary and chairman. They must
also participate in decision makings and inform other volunteers;
- Analyzing and systematizing discussed issues during the meetings - volunteers must add to the report issues discussed during meetings with volunteers, secretary on social issues, general secretary and chairman;
- Organizing various projects and campaigns with the working group - volunteers must discuss various
projects, programmes and campaigns; their activity plan, durability and fundraising; make decisions and inform the secretary on social issues.
- Fundraising for the planned projects, campaigns and activities- volunteers must appoint meetings with business organizations for planned projects, programmes and campaigns and participate during fundraising process;
- During the project, the volunteer will organize at least one of their own project, programme or campaign;
- Enlightening about ecology in the universities - additionally volunteers must have meetings with students from different universities with their presentations. Presentations will include ecological problems of the World, their areal dimension, results, solutions and important actions for all people;
- Preparing and publishing posters and booklets according to the ecological issues - volunteers must prepare posters, booklets and present to the students during meetings, seminars and activities.
