The main activity are regular work with children, youth and young families. There are 90 hobby groups opened for more than 1000 children and young people and more than 50 parents. We also organise 20 summer camps for more than 700 children every year. Next, we organise occasional and open events for the community, for example kite competitions, Halloween parties, spring celebrations, winter games... etc. There are seminars and schooling with experts opened too. We take an active part in organising of numerous culture, sport and charity events, for example The Terry Fox Run, Children to Children, Valentines ball. We organised 135 similar events for almost 20 thousand participants last year.

We are interested in involvement of children and young people in the public life and we enforce their right to be a part of the public life. Children and young people are encouraged to adopt responsibility for their recent and future society in Czech republic and whole Europe by forming their own Children Parliament.

The cooperation with schools of all grades and NGO's in our region is very important. Together we organise numerous competitions and sport events. We are prepared to give 31 competitions for more than 1500 participants and the same number of spectators this year.

Youth centre is situated in a beautiful building surrounded with a large park. There is a playground, open air cirque, a fireplace with benches in the park. Everything in the building and park is tailored to interests of children and young people. There are the special rooms for music, painting, pottery, dancing, work with computer, exercise, reading or relax, even for bouldering and archery.

Our centre is opened every working day from 8AM to 20PM, we organize some events for public during weekends.
Most of staff is able to speak English.

We expect an active, comparably independent, creative and adaptable young person, able to work in a team. He/she must be able to communicate in English, willing to educate him/herself and to actively contribute to the activities of the center.
Working with children necessitates volunteer’s ability to communicate patiently, his/her positive attitude to children, and his/her social abilities such as open-mindedness, empathy, tolerance and cooperation.
Accommodation of volunteer
The volunteer has her/his own room in a three rooms flat.
The room is fully furnished; there is a TV, radio.
He/She has to share the bathroom with a washing machine and equipped kitchen with two other volunteers. The volunteer has to self-manage the room, building a reciprocal cohabitation, as responsible as possible.

Food
The volunteer can use the equipment of the center kitchen or the kitchen of the house to prepare food or take a lunch in a restaurant together with staff of the center. He/She will get the costs for food.

Language training
The hosting organisation will manage Czech language course in city.
