The association „Ra´anana e.V.” is looking looking for volunteers who are interested in the field of international work, especially with the state of Israel.
The association „Ra´anana e.V.” is a young association aiming at the support and development of the international work through sports-related methods / through methods tightly connected with sports. In addition to the realization of youth meeting programmes it is also the purpose of the association to offer and support international voluntary services. The support of the international youth work is also one of the main aims of the cooperation partner – the “Stadtsportjugend Brandenburg an der Havel” (Sportsyouth of the city of Brandenburg).
A clear goal is the achievement of international comunication through the application of sport exercises and achievements, the transmission of sport values and care of sport behaviors. Youth work in international activities is seen as the practical task by the association.
Brandenburg an der Havel is a circle-free city and one of the four upper centers in the state Brandenburg of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is the third biggest city in the district of Brandenburg regarding the number of inhabitants and the largest city regarding the surface. Moreover it is one of the oldest cities in the Federal State of Brandenburg with its more than 1000- years of history. Brandenburg an der Havel is located in the western part of the Federal State of Brandenburg, ca. 70 km from Berlin, at one of the most important rivers for the Inland shipping, the Havel.
Hebrew language skills are an advantage.
You should be:
- Interested in international sport projects and in social projects in general
- Interested in working with children and teenagers within youth exchanges
- Interested in the Israelian culture and the israelian way of life
- disposed to get practice in the projects and undertake/take charge of tasks
- disposed to be ready for flexible working hours, even on weekends
- Good English knowledge and the disposition of learning the German language
- ability to handle modern communication media
The European volunteers are a part of the Project. They have to work on the contents of the projects and organize them completely. They also care about the public relations. Particular attention should be payed to the German- Israelian exchange, which is organized by the association. Therefore the volunteer is an intermediary inside the exchange and can work out, the project on the base of its own imagination as far as possible and bring in his or her ideas. Accomodation for the volunteer is planned in the hostel of an universitary campus close to the city-center.
