Our kindergarten is near the centre of the city Löbau with 16.000 inhabitants. It's nearby the border to Poland and Czech Republic. In half an hour you can reach the cities Zittau and Görlitz and in one hour the famous city Dresden.
B.
In the kindergarten the volunteers will work with the handicapped children corresponding with their ability. Through the open-mindedness of the staff and the children the volunteer can quick find contact and belongs to the team.
Tasks for the volunteers:
- active participation in the usual dayswork for instance:
- to help during the meals
- dressing up and whash the children
- to change the nappies
- to play with the children
- hospitation during various forms of therapy
- to prepare and to help during events for the perents and the grantparents
- to carry out own projects about the volunteers country (typical cultural things)
- weekly time of work: 35 hours, depending on the opening time, from Monday till Fryday.

Learning objectives:
-to work in a team
- knowledge about therapeutic work, kinds of handicap, possibilities and materials of promotion of handycapped children
- vocational orientation
- lern to prepare one part of the daly programm
- to take part in a workshop on this field
- to lear the language
- to integrate in another unknown culture
- development of the own personality

7.30 - 8.00 Uhr arrival, helping children to take off clothes, playing with them
8.00 - 9.00 Uhr to help children to have breakfast, to wash and if needed to swaddle
9.00 - 9.45 Uhr helping in therapeutic time for children,morning prayer, sports, workshop
9.45 - 10.30 Uhr playing out of door
10.30 - 11.30 Uhr to help children with lunch, to wash and if needed to swaddle
11.30 - 13.30 Uhr children sleep, time for own projects
13.30 - 14.00 Uhr help to dress the childen after sleeping
14:00 - 14:30 Uhr short meal
14:30 - 15:00 Uhr to play with the children

C.
The volunteer want to work with handicapped children and have empathy for them.
We estimate:
- basic knowledge German
- as the case may some precognition in this field
- ability to work in a team,kindness, independence, resilience
- open for Christian values

E.
- the tutor is the contact point, he is responsible for all questions of the volunteer and helps to solve problems
- to help to come in contact with other young people
