EVS Volunteer in Netherlands needed for youth work
In this project you will be focusing on the youth part of the organisation. You will join with youth workers on the street or with activities already implemented at one of the many youth centers. After you get to know the young people who visit the centers and get a hold of their needs and expectations you can implement your own activities together with the youngsters.
Tasks
A important part of your EVS will be the guidance and assisting of Dutch young people whom have to do their obligatory society internship. This internship is obligatory by Dutch law and makes that Dutch young citizens have to make themselves usefull for society. Age (12-18) This can be in many ways, but as this law is implemented in the school system young people who study at a highschool in Lelystad usually end up at Welzijn Lelystad. • Organize or assist a music workshop. • Play games with the young people in the center. • Make plannings with the youth workers. • See the needs of the young people whom you meet. • Go on the street with the street youth workers. • Assist and implement activities for the society internship. • Assist young people to fullfill their society internship. • Organize or assist in sport events. • Work to become a trusted person for the young people.
