- Cv and motivation letter of the volunteer (including also the telephone number)
- how many months the volunteer wants to join the project.
Tasks
Volunteers will support the Staff in the realization of the several
activities made by the Youth Centre. They will have the opportunity to
acquire further competence learning and comparing the different ways of
working. This gradual process of learning that we hope will make the
volunteers more aware of their own skills, will also favour some
specific acquirements, especially those related to organisational,
relational, communication and also language skills. We consider the
volunteers as a real resource and believe that through the European
Voluntary Service some personal resources can and must be valued.
Volunteers should help to introduce an intercultural dimension in our
activities and projects. We will therefore focus on the aspect of help
that the young volunteers will bring to the Centre with different
approaches from the usual ones and we will stress the social
educational value of this experience, since they come from a different
cultural environment. The social and educational value of those new
experiences will also be emphasized throught our Youth Politics
Department. We cannot deny that the choice of European instead of
Italian volunteers rises from the need to let out youth establish a
contact with different cultures and trigger out their curiosity ad
desire to open up to cultural approach and learn new languages.
Intercultural confrontation and dialogue are becoming two fundamental
aspects of our centre. Volunteers will be supported by he Municipality
of Pesaro, throught the specific Staff composed of the Responsable of
the Socio-Relationl Department, the Co-ordinator of the Youth Centres,
the educators and the Person in Charge for the EVS project, trhat will
take care of their introduction to the job, planning, organisation and
monitoring of the activities. Volunteers will also have regular meeting
with their tutor and with the staff of the Municipality of Pesaro,
including also the two educators of the Social Cooperative and regular
meeting with the Co-ordinating Organization. In particular the internal
instruments and procedures for the testing, monitoring and evaluation
of the activities of the European volunteer are structured as follows:
- quarterly meetings among the European volunteers, the O.U. Social Relation Responsible and the Responsible of the project;
- meetings between the Responsible of the Project of the Municipality of Pesaro and the Person in Charge for the EVSproject;
- weekly meetings with the educational staff of the project.
The European volunteers are also asked to participate to specific
moments of survey organised by the Local Administration and to the
monthly plenary meetings that involve all the educators, the young
volunteers and the trainees employed in the service at the presence of
the Coordinator of the Youth Centres of the Municipality of Pesaro.
Further instruments will be the intermediate and final reports written
by the volunteers and the initial introductive phase where it will be
possible to check the developing of the project and its final result.
