Criteria

The volunteers should have fun dealing with children between 1-6 years. The basics of German language are preferable.

The time has shown, how good the different personalities of volunteers with their different competencies and interests were integrated into the community with children. Also the previous volunteers could have gained various experiences. In many cases they started first in kindergarten to find out their pedagogical competencies, they learnt to realize their talents, to use them and to develop selective offers for kids.They experienced and learnt a lot about Germany , german culture,standards, values and pedagogy.They got a chance to learn and to manage dealing with difficult children, resp. children with difficult family background.
The volunteers are a part of the whole team. They participate in all team meetings, plannings, evaluations and further trainings. Their own initiatives , e.g. activities proposal, interior design, own projects are required and they will be supported..
The activities, which the volunteers are involved in: talks with children, playing with children in the room (games, tablegames), games in the garden (ball games, terrain games, table-tennis). Household tasks: to keep order in group rooms, clothes. They are supposed to participate in planning, team talks, to take part in offers for children(handicrafts, singing, to do gymnastics, listen to stories and to perform them).
Have spent some time working in and orienting themselves, the volunteers can run their own projects accompanied by one of the educators. They have a lot of space for their suggestions of projects with children (it depends on their competencies, e.g.: to learn singing songs, houshold, language offers, swimming, drawing, toning, gardening, sport, rhythmics, dancing,..)
Seosonal fests, their organising and running, take up an important room in the kindergarten (harvest, Saint Martin, Nicholas, Advent). Not only volunteers get the chance to see into German tradition but as well their own traditional culture and fests are brought into the focus..
