Our kindergarten is free-standing big building. It consists of six nursery branches for children aged 3-6. A programme "The role of correction and recreation in the physical development of children" has been introduced in our centre. We have also introduced and partly implemented an ecological education project and established a pro-ecological links with parents and other organizations. We organize a lot of special events (for Grandma's Day, Mother's day, Christmas, etc). Our children also participate in many activities outside nursery-school.

Coordinating organization FERSO Foundation is also experienced hosting/sending organization. We realize project "Young citizen of the world" , so volunteer participating in describing project will be also cooperate with others EVS volunteers in our organization. We offer our office with computer, Internet, necessary office equipment.

Lodz, where project takes place, is a town midmost Poland with over 600.000 habitants. It's not richest city, but has a very unique atmosphere with many historical buildings. You can also find here a lot of green places- we have biggest sanctuary forest and park situated inside of city in Poland.

We will be eager to teach a volunteer how to support psychophysical development of a child as well as its coordination and dexterity. We are open to work with volunteers who will cooperate and creatively participate in the pro-ecological education of kids and work on developing their creativeness and aesthetical sensitivity.

Main activities of volunteer will be:

helping in kindergarten's daily work with children

helping in organization of special events in kindergarten

creating his/her own workshops with children

Volunteer will also participate in activities prepared by coordinating organization

- During first two weeks will take place special workshops about working with children

- Participating in eco- artistic workshops for children prepared by FERSO Foundation, to see how to organize bigger workshops and to watch experienced educators.

- preparing international meetings for youngsters from Lodz (with others EVS volunteer in city)

- preparing international youth exchange (with others EVS)

We expect that a volunteer will be well-mannered person committed to working with children, specially very small (3-5 years old). It's also welcomed being interested in art or ecology (to prepare interesting workshop).
