Volunteer profile: This Project is open to every young person who like
children and is open to work together with youngsters. Is initiative and
willing to learn Latvian language and to teach his/her language.

As previously mentioned in regard to arts tradition volunteer in Jaunsvirlauka civil parish the will be able to learn more about different arts' forms (leather manufacture, drawing on silk, weaving) as well as to experiment himself/herself and participate in the workshops. Also as the volunteer will get more acquainted with the environment in different meanings he/she will learn about Latvian culture and traditions thus enriching and widening the horizons of intercultural understanding and learning. We will also offer Latvian language course that is the basic element in every culture.This will be a good opportunity for contact making in future projects and cooperation for the volunteer's organization and the organizations from Latvia.
The overall role of the volunteer within the program "European Voluntary Service" in Jaunsvirlauka civil parish is to raise capacity of local youth department and youth NGO by motivating the youth to develop their skills and help them to learn more about other cultures and opportunities by organizaing certain activities that can take various forms (seminar, language courses, sports and outdoor activities, project development, intercultural evenings, arts workshops etc.)
The main target group is youth - both in non-governmental sector as well as school youth The main activities for the volunteer would be to cover the above mentioned two themes - "arts and culture" and "education through sports and outdoor activities". All the activities can have various forms - workshops, cultural evenings, systematic sports activities for youth, organization of free time activities for youth, courses, projects - local and international that can be drafted together with youth. Volunteer will be offered a possibility to share with his/her own culture in the form of seminar or cultural evenings and possibly also to teach his/her language thus helping the local youth to improve the language knowledge or helping to learn new language.
All activities implemented and organized by a volunteer will be overseen by the organization. There is very strong network set and developed among responsible structures of Jaunsvirlauka civil parish - as cooperation of administration of civil parish with our organization - Education, Culture and Sports centre "Lidumi" and school. That means that there will be various oppurtunities offered for the volunteer for his/her ideas and organized activities. Our organization also have a deep cooperation with Culture and Sports centre "Jaunlidumi" that at the moment is in the process of development and in the future will establish itself as a multifunctional youth centre by making youth exchanges, offering different non - governmental programs, organizing exhibitions, concerts and festivals. Worth mentioning is also our Education and initiative club "Klikskis" that gathers together more than 20 youngsters to discuss about many topics, project writing and to share interesting ideas about how to improve the quality of their free time.
Volunteer will participate in all above mentioned activities by helping, showing his/her experience and coming up with new and creative ideas. He/she will be asked to help in planning activities and future strategies for local NGO's as well as to actively participate in the ongoing projects held by youth NGO
