We are proud to announce that organization OSMEH is going to host first EVS volunteer in August 2009. We have applied for the EXPRESSION OF INTEREST under number SEE/AL-08/1875 and very soon we are going to receive the accreditation, so we plan to apply in February dead line (year 2009). That’s why we are contacting you in purpose to help us to find volunteer which is machable to the project that we have here. Please read the fallowing description of the project and future steps that you need to take in case that you decide to apply with one of yours volunteers.

DESCRIPTION of the PROJECT

Project will take place in Belgrade-capital of Serbia. We are small youth organization which was founded one and a half years ago. Our main activities are connected to youth policies and youth engagement in all different meanings of this word. For now, organization OSMEH is mainly working on Youth in Action program and until now we have three projects approved (one YE and two TCs). We are supported by local government and our municipality, which is providing us huge help in our development. We are organizing different workshops for young people from our municipality, work on environmental projects and we are starting with piot project in orphans home “Zvecanska” in Belgrade

Our future volunteer should be aged between 20-29, coming from some of the Program countries and very motivated to work with us. His/her project would be consisted of:

·     Helping with preparation of international youth happenings like youth exchanges, training courses and youth working camps

·         Working in the office together with other volunteers from OSMEH organization on different tasks connected with administration (fulfilling the forms, checking the memberships, helping with future projects administration)

·         Updating web site (in a sense of collecting information and preparing text and photos)

·         Developing his/her own workshops in our organization (connected to video or photography, depending of  volunteers skills, and depending of his/her interest) which is going to be visited from the side of local youth. Possibility to develop new workshops (artistic, ecological, natural…)

·         Possible ecological projects which are planned for year 2009 where the volunteer will be responsible for photography and video.

·         Lessons of his native language to the local youth (because we have workshops of French, Spanish, Italian, English, Portuguese, Greek, German and Russian language already developed) so the volunteers task would be to organize conversation lessons  with local youth. If he/she is not speaking any of these languages, his/her will have possibility to  develop new lessons of his native language

Volunteer should have basic knowledge about:

-Microsoft office package (Word, Excel, Power point…)

-Video or photography (editing, shooting, capturing…)

-Youth policy and Youth in Action program

-Basic teaching skills (and good motivation to do it)
