Description of the organisation |
|
Kreamont is a private school under public law organized by parents. Children from 6 - 14 attend our school.
Our request is to support and accompany our children by the development of their own personal needs. We would like to educate our children to independent and self - confident persons. Our pedagogic principels are based on Maria Montessori for example: in well prepared setting children choose according to their own needs amongst activities and materials. The teachers tasks active observation, support and attendance. Teaching subjects are offered Teaching subjects are offered in a natural way, incorporating the given surrounding. Besides the regular work in the school there are also project groups where parents can have a creative influence on the lessons. Parents have also the possibilities to organize something. Parents are also responsible for the existence of the school - it´s necessary that parents care for different tasks like administrative work, Organisation of activities, hosting an evs volunteer,… Relying on pedagogic principles children, parents and teachers work together on the successful realization of : attentive and respectful treatment of oneself, the others and the environment gaining autonomy, social personal and factual competence. In our school there are 62 pupils between 6 and 14, 10 teachers and one secretary for administrational work. , Our Aims - EVS Project: This project is meant to offer children, parents and teachers the possibility to directly deal with individual differences in languages and culture according to the person - focused pedagogic. We strive for a wider understanding of culture in general that implicates activities, openness towards new experiences and relates to community - life. One of our aims of our project is the integration of a young foreign adult into our community. This person will not only enrich his/her own life by living in another culture but will also open up the intercultural horizon of everyone involved. The volunteer will introduce our children to the language, customs and rules of his/her country. Doing so, he/ she will and has to reconsider his/her own culture (background) - something that is an important precondition for any cross - country contact. |
