Volunteering for After-School Club KARAN
During the project volunteers will learn how to work with children and youth, how to work in a group and with group.
What are the main tasks?
Typical activities for a volunteer are:
- helping children and youth with spending after-class-time in a creative way
- organizing games, plays, sports and outdoor activities (f.e. music and sport events, playing games, painting, taking photographs and making sculptures)
- preparing materials, taking part and running many kinds of thematic workshops as well as cultural, art and musical events for children and youth,
- helping with child care and every day life services.
The activity will start from 1.00 pm to 7.00 pm (Monday to Friday). Weekends will be days off.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a volunteer who:
- is interested in animating the free time of young people,
- is eager to develop in the area of working with children and youth at the age 3 to 16,
- have open and caring nature towards children,
- is creative, passionate and enthusiastic,
- is patient and have strong attitude with a friendly approach,
- is able to show authority as a leader in a group young people
- is emotionally stabile what can prevent excessive personal involvement in children’s every-day problems
- has some experience with working with children (qualifications are not vital).
We request our volunteer to be non-smoker, as we try to teach our children, that it is possible to live without any addiction.
Where? Wroclaw is a 750.000-inhabitant city, a capital of Lower Silesia region situated in South-West Poland. The city is called Polish Venice) with many historic sites and very friendly atmosphere.
