The project dates are: July 2009 till the end of December 2009.

What are the main tasks?

Typical activities for a volunteer are:

•  working with children and youth aged 7-21 years
•  organizing games, plays, sports and outdoor activities (f.e. music and sport events, playing games, painting, taking photographs and making sculptures)
•  preparing materials, taking part and running many kinds of thematic workshops as well as cultural, art and musical events for children and youth,
• helping with child care and every day life services.

During the project volunteers will learn how to work with children and youth, how to work

in a group and with group. Volunteers also will have an opportunity to exchange their working places between each other, or visit other centers sometimes.

Who are we looking for?

The volunteers do not have to be qualified or experienced in working with children and youth. We would like to host a person with interesting hobbies , motivated, open and with their own ideas, people with energy. Creativity, sport and artistic skills will be the additional value (especially during rafting, hikes and other events). 

Where?

There are 3 separate villages: Kamieniec Wroclawski, Czernica and Ratowice on the territory of Czernica Wroclawska municipality (www.czernica.iap.pl, for pictures click ”zdjęcia”). Their geographical location is very convenient because of the short distance between villages as well as between them and Wrocla w city (centre of the region, rich in history and historical monuments and one of the fastest developing cities in Poland). There is a good bus connection both between villages and the city of Wroclaw.
The municipality is located in the picturesque setting of the Odra river, with a lot of fresh air and rich forests areas where it is possible to organize bike trips and rafting. There are 3 natural (not industrialized) lakes. Also many sport pitches can be found and Czernica town has got a local sport stadium. Additional attraction of the location is the possibility to use advantages of the Lower Silesia region like historical monuments, castles, Sudety mountains range.
