YMCA Blaustein Organization from Germany is looking for 2 volunteers
The European volunteer shall be integrated in all activities of our organization.
A.
The CVJM Blaustein e. V. is part of the international YMCA
organization. Our major aim in Blaustein is to encourage the close
association between the young people by offering cultural, religious
and joint activities. Apart from this we foster values such as
confidence, friendship, association etc. We work in close cooperation
with the local church organizations, the Evang. Jugendwerk and the
Kreisjugendring Alb-Donau e.V.
The basis of the CVJM Blaustein e. V. profits from the numerous
volunteers and active members. We therefore are well experienced in the
cooperation with volunteers.
The European volunteer will be a full-blown member within our
organization. (S)He will get full support in the areas language,
methods of working with kids and the conversion of these theories into
practise.
Blaustein with its 15,000 inhabitants is only 10km away from Ulm. The
local infrastructure is well equipped and within only some minutes you
are in-between a lively city with innumerable leisure and cultural
options. Blaustein itself also offers a broad range of leisure
activities such as youth clubs, indoor pool, public library, railway
stations and plenty of organizations where you can join for sports,
chess, music etc.
B.
The European volunteer shall be integrated in all activities of our organization. This mainly includes:
- Regular meeting of 8 - 13 years olds
- TenSing
- Camps with kids and teens (planning, organization and execution of summer and winter camps)
- Kids care
- Office/Administration tasks
- Administration/Maintenance of equipment, Web administration
Depending on motivation and knowledge it will be appreciated if the
European volunteer takes care of special tasks and small projects. For
these highly responsible tasks it will be ensured that the volunteer
gets fully support at any time.
C.
We are looking for young and motivated people who love to work with
kids and teens, who are team players and who are extremely reliable and
creative.
Since the project will be announced in the international database all
interested people shall have the option to send their application
directly to us. Also current contacts to sending organizations shall be
of profitable use (by contact-making meeting at Youth4Europe). The
selection of the applicants shall be made by considering motivation,
personal interests and experience.

The European volunteer will be supported and accompanied by experienced
staff which is experienced with the law for the protection of the youth
and similar regulations. Critical situations (or homesickness etc.)
will be avoided or recognized at an early stage by continuous meetings
and talks with the tutors. It is extremely important to us that the
volunteer builds up a relationship with the coordinating and
independent person at the Kreisjugendring Alb-Donau e.V. To ensure this
task two-weekly talks with the respective responsible at the
Kreisjugendring Alb-Donau e.V. are planned as a fix part during the
entire stay.
